This handout provides information for Parents wishing to create an Observer Account for Canvas. The pairing code mentioned in the instructions is generated by the student you wish to observe. Please refer to the document “FCACCanvas_ObserverPairingCodeCreation2019” for more information on the pairing code. 1. Access Canvas using the following link https://fcac.instructure.com/
2. If this is the first time you have used Canvas as an Observer, you will first need to register for an account. Select the link “Parent of a Canvas User? Click Here for an Account”.
3. Complete your details as prompted. The Student Pairing Code is generated by the Canvas user you wish to observe. Please see information sheet “Generate Canvas Observer Pairing Code” for further information on the pairing code process. When complete, select “Start Participating”.
4. The first time your register, you should be logged straight in as an observer. If not, browse to the main login link: https://fcac.instructure.com/ and enter your email and the password you created in Step 3. You will also use this link for future access.
5. Canvas provides Parent and Student Applications on both the Apple and Android App stores for those who wish to access Canvas in this manner. Select the links below to access:
